WHY TREE PLANTING MATTERS?

Hello Guys! Whats up?

Today i am going to write about "WHY TREE PLANTING MATTERS?" why???? so this title actually are very well connected to the one of the big issues that mankind faced nowadays.. what is it? the global warming issue and the environmental issue. I believed everyone alert and knew about this, and i will assume everyone has take their own initiative to address this problem.

As a man, lived in borneo, i and all my teams are very concern about this, so what we do then? Well in Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp, its not all only about making a profit, but we have done a programme so called a "rainforest carbon off set project" or in a easier way, tree planting. Thanks to Mr John (one of my sifu) and of course Mr Albert aseh (owner of Aseh travel And Tours) for being the real advisor of this great idea. Im glad to share with you guys that, as of for December 2017, there are about nearly 3000 tropical trees (all fruit trees such as wild mango, bread fruits and figs) has been planted in our jungle camp area, and we have not done yet, in fact we are eager and more eager to plant more!

You might be wanna ask me, who planted the trees? Bingo! good question, Well remember the sentence "its all not only about money" yeah, some of the money of our visitor/tourist we will use it to invest it back to the nature, consider this as one of our initiative to save our planet earth. How do we invest? FYI, in our jungle camp, we are not the one who make the nursery / tree seedlings, yet we buy the tree seedlings from the local people, why? so that the local people have a chance to earn money, at the same time we also will be able to educate / awareness them the important of protecting and preserving our environment from any mass misconduct.

Most of our planters is come from the volunteering programme, the local people nearby, local students and of course ourselves. I believed, our effort might be look tiny today, but it is going to be mean something big in the future. We have done ours, and we are very looking forward so that every single man in this world will do their parts. A conservation in tourism are very meaningful and useful to the 3P's, what 3P's? people, planet, and profit. People, the community gain benefit from it, for example working in a eco tourism industry such as tour guide, boat men driver or maybe a handy man, also not to forget the tree seedlings producer! planet, by the tree planting programme, not only the trees provide us the oxygen and offset the carbon but it also will produce the fruits and leaves to the wildlife, didn't you see that coming? LOL ;) profit, of course a company will need to make some profit/earnings so that they capable of paying their employees salary.

Do you know?

A human breathes about 9.5 tons of air in a year, but oxygen only makes up about 23% of that air, by mass and we only extract a little over a third of the oxygen from each breath. That works out to a total about 740KG oxygen per year. This is about seven or eight trees worth as a matured tree able to produce a clean Oxygen of 100KG per year. Hope this info beneficial to all of us. Thats all for now from me. Till next yeah..

Best regards,
Afiq
